The Cleveland Browns entered the 2026 NFL Draft with a clear blueprint: improve the offensive infrastructure and create a better environment for developing a long-term quarterback. Cleveland accomplished both goals. Spencer Fano was widely viewed as one of the cleanest offensive line prospects in the entire draft, while first-round wide receiver KC Concepcion immediately gives the offense another explosive playmaker. The Browns doubled down on that approach in Round 2 by selecting Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston, one of the breakout stars of the college football season.
Cleveland continued to find value throughout the draft. Safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren could become one of the steals of the class after earning an A+ grade from several evaluators. Austin Barber and Parker Brailsford further strengthened the offensive line, while late-round selections such as Joe Royer and Carsen Ryan added depth at tight end. Even the sixth-round selection of quarterback Taylen Green provides an intriguing developmental project. While AFC North rivals like the Cincinnati Bengals focused heavily on defense, Cleveland concentrated on building a stronger offensive foundation for the future.
NFL Rookie Minicamp Results
The Browns held rookie minicamp from May 8-10 at the CrossCountry Mortgage Campus in Berea under new head coach Todd Monken. The three-day event featured 53 players and provided the first look at Cleveland’s highly regarded rookie class.
Second-round wide receiver Denzel Boston emerged as one of the biggest stars of camp. The 6-foot-4 playmaker consistently won during seven-on-seven and team drills, displaying outstanding body control, a massive catch radius, and the ability to create separation against defensive backs. Fellow receiver KC Concepcion also impressed, showcasing his versatility by lining up across multiple offensive positions and making several highlight-reel catches.
Meanwhile, first-round tackle Spencer Fano immediately took first-team reps at left tackle and looked comfortable against NFL-caliber competition. Safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren flashed impressive range and instincts in the secondary, while quarterback Taylen Green displayed one of the strongest arms on the practice field. Cleveland also used minicamp to begin reshaping its offensive line, with Fano, Austin Barber, and Parker Brailsford all receiving significant first-team opportunities.
Cleveland Browns Updated 2026 Win Total Projection
The Browns enter the 2026 season with a projected win total of 6.5 victories. That number dropped significantly following the blockbuster trade that sent former Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams.
Before the trade, sportsbooks viewed Cleveland as a potential playoff contender with a projected win total near 8 wins. However, removing one of the league’s most dominant pass rushers dramatically changed expectations. While the Browns received talented edge rusher Jared Verse and future draft capital in return, oddsmakers clearly believe the organization is prioritizing long-term roster building over short-term success.
Despite the lower expectations, there are reasons for optimism. Cleveland’s offensive line appears significantly improved, the young receiving corps has more upside than previous seasons, and Todd Monken brings a fresh offensive vision. If the quarterback position stabilizes and the rookie class develops quickly, the Browns could outperform expectations and become one of the NFL’s most interesting rebuilding teams.
