The WNBA officially tips off its 30th season today, and StatementGames is expanding right alongside it.
Beginning this week, sports fans can now join and play WNBA contests directly within the StatementGames gaming lobby. This exciting update continues the growth of the StatementGames alternative fantasy sports platform, which now supports NBA, WNBA, NCAAB, NFL, and soon NCAAF contests.
More importantly, this expansion represents something bigger for the future of StatementGames: year-round sports gaming.
One of the biggest lessons we learned while building StatementGames is that momentum matters. Fans may enjoy a platform, but long gaps between playable contests naturally slow engagement. By adding WNBA contests alongside our existing basketball and football offerings, users now have meaningful games available to play throughout nearly the entire calendar year.
Whether you’re following Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers, A’ja Wilson, or the defending New York Liberty, StatementGames now gives women’s basketball fans a new way to test their sports knowledge through skill-based gaming.

The 2026 WNBA season officially begins with an exciting opening weekend slate that includes:

How to Access WNBA Contests on StatementGames
Playing WNBA games on StatementGames works just like every other contest on the platform.
To get started:
Step 1 — Access the StatementGames Lobby
Visit: www.statementgames.com and select the “Play SG” button or go directly to: play.statementgames.com. Once logged in, you will enter the StatementGames Lobby — the foundation of the gaming platform.
Step 2 — Select the WNBA Tab
Inside the lobby, users can sort contests by sport using the navigation tabs located near the top of the page. You’ll now notice a dedicated WNBA section alongside:
- NBA
- NFL
- NCAAB
- NCAAF
Selecting the WNBA tab filters the lobby to show all currently available women’s basketball contests.
Each contest includes:
- Tournament Name
- Contest ID
- Number of Entries
- Countdown Clock (“Live In”)
- Join Button
The countdown clock represents how much time remains before the sporting event begins — and how much time you have left to finalize your picks.

How WNBA Picks Work on StatementGames
Once you select “Join,” you’ll enter the WNBA contest interface where you can begin making picks. Just like NBA contests, WNBA games feature a mix of:
- Team props
- Game props
- Player props
Some examples of live WNBA props include:
- Paige Bueckers OVER / UNDER 18.5 Points
- Caitlin Clark OVER / UNDER 8.5 Assists
- Indiana Fever OVER / UNDER 9.5 Steals
- Dallas Wings OVER / UNDER 84.5 Points
Users make selections by adding picks to their player card and ranking them in order of confidence. Each contest requires:
- 10 total picks
- Confidence rankings from 1 through 10
Your highest-confidence pick is worth 10 points while your lowest-confidence pick is worth 1 point. A perfect score is 55 points. As games unfold, picks are graded in real time and users climb the StatementGames LEADERBOARD based on total points earned.
StatementGames Continues Expanding Year-Round Gaming
The addition of WNBA contests is another major step toward StatementGames becoming a complete year-round sports gaming ecosystem. The platform now supports:
