UFL Playoff Picture
Orlando Storm (8-2) The Storm enter the playoffs as the league’s top seed and arguably its most complete team. Orlando finished the regular season with the UFL’s best record while relying on elite defense and MVP-caliber quarterback play from Jack Plummer.
St. Louis Battlehawks (6-4) Despite securing the No. 2 seed, St. Louis enters the playoffs with questions. The Battlehawks have dropped two consecutive home games and continue battling offensive inconsistency.
Louisville Kings (6-4) No team enters the playoffs hotter than Louisville. The Kings have transformed themselves into one of the league’s most balanced teams behind quarterback Chandler Rogers and a vastly improved rushing attack.
DC Defenders (5-5) DC limps into the postseason on a four-game losing streak. Turnovers and quarterback instability have plagued the Defenders throughout the second half of the season.
History has lead us to this point.

DC Defenders vs. Orlando Storm
This will be the third consecutive meeting between these teams after Orlando defeated DC in each of the previous two weeks.
While the Storm were unable to host the game in their normal stadium, the league found a suitable alternative at Daytona Stadium in Florida. The move keeps the game within driving distance for Orlando fans and should provide a stronger home-field atmosphere than a neutral-site alternative.
Several factors favor Orlando:
- UFL-best 8-2 record
- League MVP candidate Jack Plummer
- Plus-5 turnover differential
- Top scoring defense
- Victories over DC in each of the previous two meetings
The biggest concern for DC remains quarterback play. Since Jordan Ta’amu’s injury, the Defenders have struggled to generate consistent offense while continuing to turn the football over.
Jason Bean brings athleticism and playmaking ability, but he has also contributed to the turnover problems that have haunted DC throughout the second half of the season.
Orlando’s defense excels in the red zone and continues finding ways to limit touchdowns. That strength matches up well against a Defenders offense that frequently moves the ball but struggles to finish drives.
Prediction – Orlando Storm 24, DC Defenders 17

Louisville Kings vs. St. Louis Battlehawks
The nightcap may feature the most intriguing matchup of the weekend. St. Louis owns one of spring football’s best home-field advantages, but the Battlehawks are entering the playoffs at the wrong time. The offense has struggled throughout the second half of the season, while injuries continue piling up on the defensive side of the ball.
Meanwhile, Louisville appears to be peaking. The Kings have completely transformed their offense over the final month of the season. What began as the league’s worst rushing attack has evolved into one of its best. James Robinson, Ian Wheeler, and the Louisville offensive line have become the foundation of a team that controls tempo and wins the battle of possession.
The turnover numbers further support Louisville:
- Louisville: +7 turnover margin (Best in UFL)
- St. Louis: -5 turnover margin
Louisville also enters the postseason significantly healthier. Most starters received limited work during Week 10, allowing the roster to enter the playoffs rested and ready. The Battlehawks still possess an elite defense, but recent performances suggest the offense may not be capable of consistently supporting a championship run.
