A StatementGames contest is a free-to-play game built around a single sporting event, such as an NFL or NBA matchup. Each contest features a curated set of game and player prop “Statements” that you analyze, select, and rank based on confidence.
By joining a contest, you are officially playing StatementGames — no entry fees, no deposits, and no credit card required.
Step 1 — Join a Contest and Enter the Gameplay Screen
Once you log into your StatementGames account and select a contest, you’re taken directly into the contest interface.
At the top of the screen, you’ll notice:
- A navigation bar allowing you to move back to the Lobby, Account, Standings, or Leaderboard
- The game title, confirming the matchup you’re playing
- A countdown clock showing how much time remains before picks lock
This section ensures you always know which game you’re playing and how long you have to make decisions.
Step 2 — Explore Game & Player Prop Categories
Just below the countdown clock, you’ll see how Statements are organized by category. These filters help you quickly find the props you want to analyze.
For NBA contests, categories include:
- Team
- DEF (Defense)
- FW (Forwards)
- C (Centers)
- G (Guards)
For NFL contests, categories include:
- GM (Game Props)
- QB (Quarterbacks)
- RB (Running Backs)
- WR (Wide Receivers)
- TE (Tight Ends)
- DEF (Defense)
- K (Kickers)
This structure makes it easy to scan, compare, and evaluate different angles before making selections.
Step 3 — Make Selections Using the “+” Button
As you scroll down, the main gameplay area appears.
- Left side: All available Statements for the contest
- Right side: Your player card (Selected Statements)
To make a pick, simply click the “+” button next to any Statement. Each selection immediately moves to your player card on the right, allowing you to track progress in real time.
Your goal is to fill your player card with exactly 10 selections.
Step 4 — Rank Your Picks by Confidence
Once you’ve added Statements, it’s time to rank them.
StatementGames uses drag-and-drop technology to let you order your picks from:
- #10 (most confident)
- down to
- #1 (least confident)
This ranking system is what transforms StatementGames into a true Sports Rating System — it doesn’t just measure whether you’re right, but how confident you were when you made the call.
Step 5 — Save Your Selections and Lock In
After selecting and ranking all 10 Statements, make sure to click Save.
Saving your picks locks them in for the contest. If you don’t save, your selections won’t count — so this step is critical.
How Scoring Works in a StatementGames Contest
As the sporting event plays out, points are awarded only for correct picks.
The goal is to accumulate as many points as possible, compete against other players in the contest, and climb the StatementGames LEADERBOARD.
